The Beginning

Khayalethu Grocery Store started in 2021 in a small garage in Embalenhle. We noticed a recurring problem: hardworking families running out of essentials just days before payday. The options were limited—go hungry or borrow from loan sharks with exorbitant interest rates. We chose a third option: trust.

How We Differ

Unlike big retailers, we know our customers by name. We understand that life happens. A delayed grant or an unexpected expense shouldn't mean an empty table. Our credit model is built on community vetting and dignity, not credit scores and algorithms.

We Deliver for Free

If you live in Embalenhle, Secunda, or Evander, we bring your groceries to your door at no extra cost. We run two delivery rounds daily: Morning (9am - 12pm) and Late Afternoon (3pm - 6pm).
